How do I export ex-military assets?
Thinking of exporting ex-Military vehicles or general equipment?
In order to bid, you will need to create an account with our auctioneer Pickles. If you are an Australian Resident you can select Sign-Up in the top right corner of the Pickles Website. If you are located outside of Australia you will need to follow the steps set out in the Internation Buyer Information.
As a part of the verification process, you will need to provide your credit card details and licence. If you are bidding from outside of Australia/ New Zealand they will also request a copy of your passport for manual account processing which will take no longer than 4 days to process.
Requirements for exporting ex-Military assets:
- If you intend to ship ex-military vehicles out of Australia, you need to get the Department of Defence authorisation to export: https://www.defence.gov.au/ExportControls/Forms.asp
- You need to complete an Australian Customs Export Declaration Notice (B957). You need a DECO permission number to complete the Customs Export Declaration form.
- In regards to payment, please note that the invoice is due in full, including the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
- Assets can be purchased at auction and freighted internationally. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have assets collected and freighted if this is required.
