How do I export ex-military assets?

Thinking of exporting ex-Military vehicles or general equipment?

In order to bid, you will need to create an account with our auctioneer Pickles. If you are an Australian Resident you can select Sign-Up in the top right corner of the Pickles Website. If you are located outside of Australia you will need to follow the steps set out in the Internation Buyer Information.
As a part of the verification process, you will need to provide your credit card details and licence. If you are bidding from outside of Australia/ New Zealand they will also request a copy of your passport for manual account processing which will take no longer than 4 days to process.

Requirements for exporting ex-Military assets:

  • If you intend to ship ex-military vehicles out of Australia, you need to get the Department of Defence authorisation to export: https://www.defence.gov.au/ExportControls/Forms.asp
  • You need to complete an Australian Customs Export Declaration Notice (B957). You need a DECO permission number to complete the Customs Export Declaration form.
  • In regards to payment, please note that the invoice is due in full, including the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
  • Assets can be purchased at auction and freighted internationally. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have assets collected and freighted if this is required.
  • Some companies that may be able to assist in the export process (these are third parties that we are not affiliated with):
